The Arctic Circles series is s bi-annual tour-de-force of the current Norwegian downtempo, electronica and ambient scenes. The third in the series is now ready, and it starts in the downtempo/chill out area before it gradually turns into electronica and ambient.

The compilation features four debutantes: Flunk, is a new side-project from Ulf Nygaard in the Norwegian pop/triphop project Folk & Røvere, Monlope is a new name from Kristiansand (home of the Quart festival), Kolar Goi is the new project name from Gaute Barlindhaug (previously known as Aedena Cycle), and Svalastog is the new solo-project from Per Henrik Svalastog of Information.

Arctic Circles 3 also works as a label-compilation, with goodies from most of the Beatservice artists, like the unusual relaxed vocal track from Xploding Plastix, and Mind over MIDI's icy arctic minimalism.

In addition, there are tracks from old familiars like Sketch and Debris, and new stars like Röyksopp, Athome Project and Kim Hiorthøy.

Arctic Circles 3 is a varied menu, handpicked and thoughtfully sequenced by the Beatservice-boss Vidar Hanssen.
